PALLAVOLO PADOVA IN JAPAN!

Pallavolo Padova continues its international expansion with Tokyo Great Bears

Pallavolo Padova, in partnership with Tokyo Great Bears and Unite Corp Ltd, powered by SPG Sports, is thrilled to announce the continuation of its internationalization expansion, bringing their extensive know-how to Japan.

In collaboration with Tokyo Great Bears, Pallavolo Padova is proud to host a series of youth development programs in Tokyo from August 17th to 18th. The two-day full immersion experience will provide boys and girls of all ages the unique opportunity to learn from the expertise of Pallavolo Padova, represented by Giorgio Sabbadin, the esteemed Technical Director of the Under 17 and Under 19 Academy teams. The programs in Tokyo will include volleyball camps for:

  • Elementary students

  • High school students

  • University students

  • Adults

  • Coaching clinics for local coaches

During the two-day youth development activities in Tokyo, we are delighted to have Wataru Taniguchi, the new Pallavolo Padova player, as the Ambassador of the programs. Taniguchi will be actively present during the camps, adding to the excitement and inspiration for all participants.

Following the Tokyo camps, from August 20th to 23rd, Pallavolo Padova will organize a youth camp in the prefecture of Shizuoka, adjacent to Tokyo. Specifically, on the 20th and 21st, the camp will take place in the city of Numazu, and on the 22nd and 23rd, it will move to Mishima. During these days, Giorgio Sabbadin will personally meet with aspiring young players, up to 12 years old, who are eager to gain a deeper understanding of Italian volleyball.

“I want to express my gratitude to Pallavolo Padova and everyone involved in this project for granting us this wonderful opportunity. We hope this marks just the beginning of a long and prosperous collaboration," said Shinya Murakami, director of one of the teams involved in the camp's organization. "I am certain that through this initiative, indelible memories will be etched in the minds of young Japanese players."

The success of this project was made possible through the unwavering support of the cities and Volleyball Federations of Numazu and Mishima, who generously provided the Koryo Arena in Numazu and the municipal gymnasium in Mishima.

Pallavolo Padova and Japan share ambitious goals that align perfectly with the objectives of these camps. The aim of exporting the brand and philosophy of Pallavolo Padova to a country as remarkable as Japan is a fundamental aspect that underpins the present and future of the club. Moreover, this initiative aims to actively contribute to the development of the volleyball movement in Japan, with the dedicated support of SPG Sports.
